bathroom "after" pics & more =)

Sooooo, it's been a few days since I have posted anything; but the purpose of starting this blog was to discuss & show our improvements on our house.... So I promise I will posts more pics of things I have come up with around the house.  I have just been really busy with my job, as a service manager, your schedule is completely opposite as the "normal" person.  I have been trying to get all the things ready for my upcoming vacation that starts this Monday!!!!! As much as I dislike having my 2 vacations only a couple months apart, I am just grateful to have the 2 opportunities to "get away" for 10 days.......... as much as I love my job, everyone needs to have a break to recharge their batteries, ect.

Cody & I are soooo close to finishing the bathroom, here are a couple pics:

It's not completely done, but it is such an improvement from what it did look like.

love of my life

this is the love of my life, cody!!! don't see myself living the rest of my life with anyone else!

have you ever imagined someone you least expected to change your life??   that's what happened to me, and i wouldn't have it any other way!! through the bad & the good...... we both take care of each other!! no matter what!

downstairs bathroom "before" pics

This was a pic of the downstairs bathroom before... one of the ugliest bathrooms i have ever seen!!
ripped out the tile....

                                                               and the disgusting flooring.....

started texturing the walls with joint compound

the beginning........

So, it's been a little over a year in our home...... and though it seems like we haven't done that much at all; I don't think I ever realized how much work a house is!!  When we first decided to move into the home while we renovate it, it didn't seem like that big of a deal... but when you are doing some major projects in the areas that are used everyday, well that gets frustrating. But we have gotten through it together. His grandmother was gracious enough to give us her home that has been in the family for years. It needed a lot of cleaning & a definite makeover. Cody & myself both have very busy management jobs that require a lot of time, ecspecially since he works mornings & I work nights. So the separation has put a toll on us.... but this house has brought us together & stronger than ever.
